20-Minute Caveman and Cavewoman Circuit Workout Routine

Unfortunately, humans are slow when it comes to adapting to the evolutionary pressures of eating calorie-dense foods. We clearly did not get the memo that we are too busy these days to hibernate, and that we no longer need to hunt for food. Understanding why humans crave calorie-rich food is important to understanding your own tendencies for sure. But, you can also literally fight your ancient ways with the type of “natural” exercises that our ancestors were involved in on a daily basis, with the exception of maybe Fred Flinstone… Your advantage? You have the Black Eyed Peas, an iPod, air conditioning and readily available post-exercise food and water. Today, go back in time with your workout and put the brakes on your evolutionary tendencies.

Perform each exercise for 90 seconds. Finish all of the exercises, take a one-minute break, and then repeat.

If you are using a heavy weight to build muscle, move at a slower pace. If you are using a lighter weight, you may go at a faster pace to build endurance.

When you finish this workout, post your time below. Next time you come back to the site, you will be able to reference it.
